About the misconceptions one creates about the loved one

in #life6 years ago (edited)

If one is foolish enough to think that we know and can give for granted the image we construct about the person we say to love or be in loved (two copletly different things), then one is doomed to failure when deep and really relevant conversations about emotions start arising.

But this is also the truth for the cautious ones, that do not give for granted the Other, but maybe this caution stops being that to transforms into uncertainty, to toxic levels, before they can realize it ( even if the people around them notices it ).

We often forget that people is capable of a wide range of emotions and responses to stimulus, and maybe, sometimes, we have that fact too present, to the level of blurring our attempt of an accurate perception of them, and become the unknown.

Why we tend to fail our usual methods of reasoning with these people that we choose as relevant to our lifes? Maybe is because as they say love is a kind of socially accepted insanity. But of course, love, as any other feeling, does not come to impact our actions on their own. Emotions and feelings always come all mixed up, so it is the mix, the set of them, that can be dissected to check and evaluate why we do what we do. Because maybe there is a foreshadowing somewere within what we have already done that could lead us to forseen a possible mistake we could regret on the long run.

No one is too pure, but no one is too mean. At least if they managed to be loved somehow.

We have to embrace the unavoidable constant that they are, as ourselves, ever evolving and changing, so we can't go down the slippery slope of closing off and damage the proper understanding. Regardless of the stage of the relationship, even if you are being unrequited or if you are unrequiting.

Because assumptions, only enhances the tangibility of the interpretations of the other, rather than making you be closer to them in themselves.

But maybe it's because we understood so badly that this state happened in us. Wouldn't you agree to consider it?
