The Secret To Living An Interesting And Fulfilling Life

The little time I have spent in this life, I have seen men that seem to be successful, have everything they need, have access to the prettiest of women and can go wherever they want to go commit suicide. And all I could say was "why?" I have also heard of men and women that are famous and powerful and have everyone screaming their names and striving to be like them take to drugs or engage in various destructive habits that got them feeling frustrated and miserable. And all I could still ask is "why?"

I have seen men and women that thought that all they need to live a happy, interesting and a fulfilled life is to become successful and many of them attained success but the sad thing is that, the success never made most of their lives interesting. They became more sad and frustrated despite achieving their goals or dreams. And all I could say again is "why?" And there are also men that are successful or not so successful and their lives are so interesting, happy and fulfilled that they look forward to each day with great excitements, anticipation and hope. And still all I could ask is "why?"

I used to think that just having excess money, success, fame or power guarantees one satisfaction in life, but I've come to realize that it's not always true because of what I've seen and heard about some of the people that have attained such feat in life. To the outside world or those watching such people, they are enjoying life. But to such people, they know that there's a big vacuum in their lives that money, fame, sex, power or fun cannot fill. That's why they keep engaging in several activities hoping to find a way to fill such vacuum, but the more most of them explore, the emptier they feel.

Money, success, power, fame, etc are all good because they give one comfort in life. But having comfort alone is not the secret to having an interesting and a fulfilled life. Most people's lives are comfortable, but it's not interesting and fulfilled because they are yet to find the secret to having such. What is now the secret to having an interesting and a fulfilled life?

The secret to having an interesting and a fulfilled life is in this short quote made by one unknown man called John Odudu. He said:

Life will be nothing than a boring routine if there is no purpose. Find your purpose because that's the only ingredient you need to have an interesting and a fulfilled life.

The above statement has been found to be very true. A life without a purpose has no direction regardless of how high or low such life may be. You see so many people that seem to have achieved a lot in life still living in frustration and you couldn't help but ask "Why?" You may even say in your heart that you would never feel that way if you had one - tenth of what they have. But one point you're missing is that, fulfilment in life is not about the possession but fulfilling the mission. But you can't fulfill the mission if you don't know what it is.

Finding purpose surpasses getting money, fame or power. It's more about knowing what your mission here is and having the will to go after it. Those that are living in their purpose, regardless of whether they are famous, successful, powerful or not always have something to look forward to in life. Life is so interesting to them that they look forward to each day with great excitements, anticipation and hope. The life of a man of purpose doesn't revolve in a cycle like the lives of most people that are yet to find their purpose. It progresses.

Purpose makes life less of a routine. It gives life substance and a sense of direction. You may not be wealthy, famous or powerful, but if you're on the path of your purpose, your life will feel more interesting and fulfilled than you could imagine. This is the secret to having an interesting and a fulfilling life. Money can only give you comfort but finding your purpose will give you fulfilment and make life worth living.
