The word “diet’ means a special course of foods that someone restricts themselves from eating. Someone can have a temporary or a permanent lasting diet. Many people start diets to be healthier or just to lose weight. The two diets I am comparing today are the Paleo and Vegan diets.

First of all, let's start off with the Vegan diet. The vegan diet is a type of diet that when someone is a Vegan they only consume plants. Vegans also don't eat anything that come from animals. The pros of this diet are that you get to live a healthier life. There are no more fats from meat and other processed food. Vegans only eat plants so there is no harm of health issues or fat. Now on to the cons, the cons of this diet are that you might not get to enjoy your favourite foods or the best tasting foods, unless you are a straight out plant and veggie lover, but if you ask most people, they are only doing a vegan diet to be healthier, not because they love the taste of plants. I personally would not eat this way. I am a type of person who loves meat and i'm not a big fan of eating plants, so I wouldn't eat this way.

Next, is the Paleo diet. The Paleo diet is different than other diets because of what kind of diet it is. This diet is a diet when you only eat the foods that early humans ate to survive, such as, fish, vegetables, and fruit. Just as the vegan diet, this diet has pros and cons with it. The pros with this diet is that it will make you a healthier person. The fish, vegetables, and fruit ate by early humans is good for your body and will conclude in a longer and healthier lifestyle. The cons. The cons for this diet are that you might not get some of the new foods that new people made, obviously considering that you are doing a diet based on early human ways. I would probably not eat this way because of a few reasons. One of those reasons being that I am already used to the new foods that America has created. So going far back into a different eating way will be hard for me to get used to.

Between these two diets, there are many similarities. A similarity between the vegan diet and the paleo diet are that they both are a healthier way of eating than normal human ways. They both don't have processed food there for making them healthier. Also, the majority of these foods have plants and vegetables. These diets also share differences. A difference is that the paleo diet has more selection of foods you can eat, such as, fish, meat, fruits and vegetables. The vegan on the other side, only has plants and vegetables to choose from. These two diets are both very similar but also very different. They both have healthier eating ways than regular eating ways. Despite all the similarities, they do not have most of the same foods.
