According to Wikipedia, “Mindfulness is the psychological process of bringing one's attention to experiences occurring in the present moment which can be developed through the practice of meditation and other training. Mindfulness meditation is part of Buddhist psychological traditions and the developing scholarship within empirical psychology.”

Not a very difficult process when you want to be really aware of where you are, what you are doing. But the condition is, you must leave overwhelmed emotions and reactions. Naturally, we have the quality of mindfulness but in today’s busy world, we don’t get the time and forget to focus on ourselves. Practising mindfulness gives us our own space to breath, to think and to focus on little things around us.

So, here are some ways that can help you to get here.

Be conscious of your focus. This is the most important thing. Focus on your selected purpose. Watch your breath and focus. Your mind will obviously try to wander, try to pay attention.

You need to pay attention to your actions. Mindfulness defines the way. You speak to someone doesn’t define that you know how you speak to them. Paying attention to your actions make you realize who you are, how you act and how you want to act.

Live in the present moment. Don’t think of past and don’t even think of future. The present is all we have.

Let go of negative emotions. This is one of the worst things that distracts us and ruin our lives. For that purpose, you must practice positive thinking. Don’t judge anything. Just watch carefully. Be the observer.

And at last, sometimes don’t do anything. Just sit and let go of everything. This is one of the best ways to reduce stresses, tensions and become calm and quiet.
