Miss America beauty pageant

They are going to scrap the swimsuit and evening dress part of the show so the contestants are no longer judged on their outward appearance.

So why have it as a TV show? You can conduct this type of show, called an interview over the telephone and broadcast it on the radio.

I can understand if someone is missing a leg, ear or something then the judges should try and look by that, but how can a beauty pageant not take into account someones appearance.

    It probably won't have a TV show much longer. Unless they add something worth watching, like a martial arts component. I would watch that.

    First rule of political correctness - control the language. I can't believe they haven't changed the name yet. Beauty has to go. And Miss - well that can't be right it leaves out so many genders.
