The Choice Of Knowledge Or Ignorance

One of the biggest problems facing humanity is not a blind eyesight, but a blind mind. That is why someone with a blind eyesight but with an enlightened mind is far better than someone with a blind mind.

More so, another similar problem of humanity is the assumption of knowledge. As a matter of fact, it would take an extensive amount of knowledge and information just for someone to realize how ignorant they have been. And the more you know what you did not know, the more you discover how very little you have known all these while.

In the acquisition of knowledge, there is absolutely no substitute. And anytime, any day, the one that knows would be master and lord over the one that does not know. And if you do not know something, and you do not even know that you do not know the thing, then your redemption is so far. But when you acknowledge your ignorance, then your redemption would be right before you.

Knowledge does not just fall on people from oblivion by accident, but you need to consciously take the pain of searching and researching to gain the knowledge you seek. But if you think you are unwilling to pay the price of knowledge, then the prize of ignorance would be bestowed on you - which far out-weighs the price of knowledge.

Knowledge is not a gift, neither is it inherited, but it is a choice you must make for yourself. And not until you have made this choice, you may still be within the oppression of ignorance.

The only way to learn something new is by learning. And learning is not a once-for-all scenario, but a continuous process that terminates at death. So quitting to learn is an express invitation to mortality. It is now left for you to place your own choice.
