What Do You Live For?

The first step in the fulfilment of your dreams is to have a dream in the first place. We are created with the ability to create the world we want to see, but when you look around you, are you satisfied with the world around you? Have you ever taken time to do a search of what your purpose is? What do you actually live for?

If you do not have something to live for, then your existence was never even necessary. Like my friend would always say; "if you refuse to live for something, you would die for nothing". And I've come to see the truism in that statement. As humans, there's something that should propel you towards the fulfilment of your dreams, and that thing is called "passion".

The passion I'm talking about is the strong desire towards the fulfilment of a particular set goal; but it has to start with setting a goal. If you don't have a goal, there wouldn't be anything to fulfil.

Just like in a race, the dream of all the runners is to brace the finish line, and that is what drives them to put in their best to fulfil their dreams.

Remember the man; Thomas Edison; who set his eyes on his invention. Even in the presence of repeated "failure", he was never discouraged, and he never took his eyes away from his dreams. And at the end, the world stood up for his invention. That's the power of passion.

If the sky is your dream, then you must aim for the stars - even if you couldn't hit any of the stars, you'd still fall within the sky - and boom!! mission accomplished.

Live for something, and work towards what you live for. That's what posterity would remember you for. Make that mark, and your memory would be engraved on the tiles of time.
