Steem Powered Shed- Building a Foundation- The U.S.S. Minnowprize!
The construction begins.
Earlier in the day, the shed was opened and we began to figure out everything we needed. The foundation of the floor will be upcycled!
The pebbled floor on the porch was never properly sealed when the house was built so all of the loose stones had started to become problematic.
We were more than happy to agree to tear it up. Because the only thing better than building is getting to destroy something!
With a flat shovel it took almost no time at all, especially since there was a starting point showing the bare cement!
Maybe an hour total and a third of the floor is already up!
Next it was time to bring back the plywood reinforcement for the floor! Why do building supply stores only have twine available? It must be some kind of American joke that I am not getting.
And finally, where we are now! After much scraping, stomping, packing down, and shoveling, the ground has been leveled! The next step is building up the floor and then the assembly and installation can begin!
It is getting serious!
