I got this sent to me by a friend this morning - and to be completely frank, I am still unsure how to relate to it. On the one hand, I can see the potential of it all, but on the other and in the long run, isn't it putting a bandage on a wound that needs to be healed?

With a burgeoning staff of 800 or so actors, ranging from infants to the elderly, the organization prides itself on being able to provide a surrogate for almost any conceivable situation.
Yuichi believes that Family Romance helps people cope with unbearable absences or perceived deficiencies in their lives. In an increasingly isolated and entitled society, the CEO predicts the exponential growth of his business and others like it, as à la carte human interaction becomes the new norm.

That's Japan for you. I've always liked these guys. They've got toilets that are more complicated than a car and the restaurants do some real crazy stuff. Their anime are leagues ahead of Hollywood. And they are totally non-PC
Also Killer video games from Dark Souls, Metal Gear, Final Fantasy, Nier etc etc.
The Japanese have always been an interesting culture to me. Since WW2 we have been their stewards (the US) and basically have allowed them to flourish! It's a beautiful society.
To the best of my knowledge, all these pictures are 100% authentic. The last 3 are recruitment posters for the Army, Navy and Air force.

I guess thats ok temporarily.
But peoole need to face it at some point. This is helpful to prevent suicide.
Since these actors fill out a void. Also their presence inhibits suicidal thoughts.

Thank you @jacinta-sevilla. I completely agree with you, there are definitely benefits, the question becomes when does it possibly spiral out of control. For instance, what kept crossing my mind was what if one of the actors falls in love with someone and they can't help it?
Well they can choose to develop the affection given that its mutual and genuine.
But if one sided thats aweful. Haha
