1] Find your 100%

Aim to find your area of expertise. Start by breaking down and simplifying things for yourself to make things clear to discover what your calling in life is. So find that one thing or that one reason why you want to start doing and continue doing something long term and stay motivated with your 100%.

2] Sustained confidence

Making the choice to take an offbeat path in life requires confidence and self belief. Making a choice with regard to an offbeat or unusual career is only half the battle remember. You have to stay with your choices and remain confident that things are going to work out and you become successful in your niche.

3] Triple E

(a) Educate yourself, constantly. Do as much reading and studying as you can. Interact with experts. Learn from your mistakes and your past.

(b) Experiment, but only in one area, and later blend in your own ideas and learning from different areas. This will allow you to educate yourself properly and once your expertise have been built up, you can experiment more with your own ideas.

(c) Excel. Take your competence to the next level by revealing your abilities to the world. Don't expect quick results.

To stay successful at your niche, you have to remain in this loop of EEE as long as possible. Because in reality, there is no end to educating yourself, experimenting and excelling.

4] Find a balance between passion and reality

Don't put a seal on your dreams but work each day thinking realistically about the amount of work you have to put in. It's critical to make sure that your financial returns from what you are doing or at least enough to sustain yourself, physically, mentally and spiritually.

5] Goal setting

It's important to set immediate goals, which can be set at a few days, short term goals which may be set for 2 weeks up to a few months or long term goals which can take 6 months or more. Listing your goals and tracking them is going to keep you in line with whatever it is you want to achieve.

6] Create a timeline

Have an idea about whom and where you want to be in life. Stay hungry and goal driven. Keep in check your efforts and accomplishments.

7] Work harder than you have ever worked before

Put in a lot of hard work. Do everything in your power to achieve what you set out to get in the first place. This is going to be more difficult than the average profession because sometimes you will have to make your own path and things won't be clearly defined. This is going to call upon some extra effort on your end, but there is no way around it.

8] Be an innovator

Aim to be unique from start to finish. This is something that you will discover at some point in your journey. There is no real specific way to do this but when it comes to you innovating in your field, you have to aim to be different. This is something that will set you apart. It's not what you do, it's about having the mindset that you have the ability to innovate.
Allow a free flow of ideas to come in when they do. Don't discount any bad ideas you come up with. They may prove useful later, so write them down.

9] Ignore and Embrace

Ignore your critics and embrace your supporters. So much of what you choose to do will be criticised by others. But it's these choices that you believe are the right ones are going to make you succeed.

Hold those who encourage you close and push away or keep your critics at a safe distance from your goals.

10] Create your career into your Passion and Have Fun

Passion is your source of fuel for anything you will do at this point. Feel bored or tired about your new choice, you really don't have to because you have already found your 100% and now your passion for what you are doing is going to continue fuelling and motivating you.
