All About Those Snuggles

This is my sweetie about a year ago. She’s my littlest little. When we tuck her in at night, she kisses us and says, “Good night. I don’t know if I’ll see you in your bed or the morning.” Meaning she usually crashes with us for the latter half of the night.

She’s a delightful (if active) snuggler. I love having her wrapped up in my arms even if it prevents me from sleeping deeply. These days are numbered. And even though I’m often physically overwhelmed to the point I can’t be touched during the day, bedtime cuddles fill my heart with joy.

I realize this is probably because my children are asleep, calm and similar to electric blankets, but this doesn’t make cuddling up to them any less enjoyable.

I’m grateful for my sweet little snugglers. I wanted to share that before I go to bed tonight. You know, so I’ll have something to look back on in the morning when I’m feeling tired and maybe a bit grumpy.
