Instagram of my 9 year old son, cousin of Virgil van Dijk! Best Defender of the world!!
My son got the age that he wants his own smart phone ( he is 9), because he wants to be "online" like the other children.
Well in my days when i was 9, i could not even touch the house phone, and if i did then the call had to be faster than the flash would do it! Yes times has changed but dreaming about the future will stay the same for every kid.
Like my son came to me a few days ago and said, dad i had a nice dream! I said what was the dream about, he said that he was a professional soccer player and that he came to our home and thanked me for everything we had done. Then i smiled to him and i said those famous words.
"Son you can be what ever you want to be" Just like your big cousin Virgil van Dijk! Then he smiled and gave me a hug. Yes we always do that, he is my little mini me!
But then i told him, it doesn't matter what you will do when you grow up, or that you will fail in something, i will always be proud and will support you till the end of time!! And then he said, no he wants to play soccer, that is his passion, and from day 1 he got on the field i stood behind him supporting him in any way.
My son got inspired by his big cousin, who he saw playing when he was still in Groningen. That was the first club Virgil van Dijk started his professional career. Here below is a old picture of Virgil with the family name tattooed on his left arm.
Our parents originated from Suriname ( South America ), and my Sister is born in Suriname and then my parents came to the Netherlands and then later i was born in Rotterdam. Then years later my sister met the father of Virgil, who is a Dutch guy and then Virgil was born. So to me to see my little nephew as the best defender of the world is just priceless, he makes us all very proud.
So for our children is Virgil the last action hero if you know what i mean, it's difficult to explain but to see him on tv doing his thing, and score and be the captain of the Dutch national team and Liverpool adores him. They even created a song about Virgil, that's just amazing.
This scarf here is what you will get when you got in the game and then in the VIP zone, mostly family and friends can visit there. Then they put the scarf above the chairs. This was from the Champion's league finale of last year.
And of course my daughter is also very proud and always stand next to her brother to support him in soccer. On the picture below they have a collection item scarf, made specially for Virgil.
My children are half Suriname and half Cambodian, they are what people called Blasians. So when people ask how rich i am, then i would say just take a look at my children and then think about what you are asking!
But don't get me wrong i cant go to much into details about my cousin, because this post is not about him and more about my son. I only wanted to show that my son got inspired in soccer by his big cousin. And there for he started to play soccer when he was almost 5. I created a short compilation video about him of his following years til he was 7.
In those years he made many friends at that club and had lots of fun, it's great to stand on the side line and see my son having fun. That was also noticed by a friend of mine who made a compilation video of the last season he played at that club he was.
Then when he got 8 there where some problems with the trainer and i was forced to remove him from that club, after i saw no progress in his training options. Then i brought him to the same club my nephew Virgil van dijk started his amateur soccer career WDS'19 in Breda.

And now my son started there to when he was 8 .
He came in the team what was called the JO9, which means youth below 9 year old's. And in that season they did not play with ranks, but they almost won every game and there for to us they were called champions. There for i made a short video about that season for the players and parents.
But now is a new season and he got promoted to a higher team of JO11, which means youth below 11. And so far they played three games and won all of them, what gave them a good chance to keep the first place, but the ball is round and you never know how it will go, but till then he is had much fun there with his friends.
There for we came up with the idea to hold record of what he do and how he grow in the game, which is something what every adult soccer player would have. To see the games and the battles back on video when they were young. Not many people have that,but nowadays with social media it's easier to centralize data and to share that with family and friends.
He also already know about Steemit, but he is not that far yet that he can work with Steemit. Then we found a solution, by creating a instagram account and share the post with @share2steem, then the post will also appear on Steemit. And that is the reason i created this post, to share my reasons for creating a instagram account for our son, and to inspire others to support there children in how we train our son in soccer.
My son will create videos about how he play with a mini soccer ball, or how he train on the streets, or he can give advice about how to train on the streets, and of course information about his progress with the games. But if you ask me, every parent should do what ever they can to support their children in what ever they love to do.
There for i created this post, to introduced our son to Steemit and to explain why i share his instagram post, and to welcome you all to follow his page.
