Art called carving

Hello everyone! I really like carved fruit, with which are often decorated restaurants on vacation. Later I I found out, that this art is called carving.

According to legend, the first works of art from fruits and vegetables appeared before the Thai Princess during one of the Royal ceremonies. As the upcoming Thai festival "Krathong" (when the inhabitants of the country launching a special bulb and let the river of candles in stylized Lotus boats), the Princess presented a "boat", decorated with carved animals from vegetables'.
