All excellent points, and I believe this is due to thousands of years of monetary oppression, people turned to vice, graft, any desperate act!
What has really changed now, is a new vision, and a new way, in a new attempt at society ;-)

Rightly said, the society is concerned about how much money you make and not on what you do to make money. But a wind of hope and change is in the air, hopefully everyone will catch this new wave.
