"Nonviolence is the biggest duty. If we can not follow it completely, then we should understand its feeling and acceptance of humanity as far as possible from violence."

This is the word of Bapu. Bapu ... The Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi who inspired not only India but the world to walk on the path of peace, tolerance and non-violence. Today is the 146th birth anniversary of our Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi.

Mahatma Gandhi's full name was Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, who gave the message of peace to the world. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was born on 2 October 1869 in Porbandar district of Gujarat state. Father of the father Karamchand Gandhi and mother Putlibai, the son of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi's family believed in the Vaishnavou sect. That is, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi grew up in a spiritual family. Mother Putlibai was a woman of very religious nature whose influence also led to the life of child Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi ... although in childhood, Bapu was very embarrassed and resentful.

At the age of just 13, Mahatma Gandhi married Kasturba Gandhi. At the time of marriage, both of them were only 13 years old. After the marriage and after the demise of father Karamchand, Mahatma Gandhi was sent to London to study law. Although the mother Putlibai Baba Mohandas was not happy with the decision of Karamchand Gandhi to go to London. But Mohandas's elder brother had a desire to go to London to study law. Eventually, when Mahatma Gandhi promised to not eat meat from his mother, stay away from women and drink alcohol, then mother allowed him to go to London. On September 4, 1888, at the age of eighteen, Mahatma Gandhi left for Southampton. However, after reaching London, Mahatma Gandhi's early days were very difficult. After completing his studies in England, Gandhi returned to Rajkot. Then he decided to go to Bombay and begin his advocacy. Later, Gandhiji returned from Bombay and started practicing only in Rajkot.images(75).jpg
In 1893, Gandhi ji visited Durban town in south Africa to work as a legal advisor to a businessman named Dada Abdullah. Which was an important part of his life. At that time, ethnic discrimination was done with black Indians and Africans in South Africa. Which he also had to endure One day in a court of Durban, an officer there asked him to take his turban. On leaving the Pretoria on May 31, 1893, a white man expressed his displeasure with Gandhiji traveling in the first class and asked him to go to the final cargo compartment of the car. Gandhiji refused to go after saying that he had a first class ticket, after which he was evicted from the train in Pietermaritzburg.

After that, Gandhiji decided that he would raise voice against the racial discrimination with Indians living in Africa. He started calling his opposition nonviolently, which later became known as Satyagraha. Even today, the statue of Gandhiji in South Africa is established.

After the revolutionary change in South Africa, Gandhi returned in January 1915. After coming to India, Gandhi traveled the whole country for a year and then later he made his ashram on the banks of the Sabarmati river near Ahmedabad in Gujarat. Whose name he named Satyagrah Ashram In 1930, this was the Dandi journey from the Sabarmati Ashram.hqdefault(1).jpgimages(73).jpg
Gandhi ji realized this during this time slaves India. In the year 1917, he started his first satyagraha from Bihar's Champaran district. This Satyagraha was against those Agras who used to harass the Nil Bagan owners here.

But in the true sense, the Gandhi era began in the 1920s in the Indian independence movement. And this started with non-cooperation movement. The aim of the non-cooperation movement was to launch the civil disobedience movement against nonviolent resistance against the British government. It was led by Mahatma Gandhi and the Indian National Congress. Gandhi ji returned many of his titles for Indian independence. The influence of Gandhi ji increased so much that a group of people went behind them. Lawyers across the country quit advocacy. The college students stopped going to college. Many people doing government jobs have left their jobs. During this time, Gandhiji began to reach out to the people through two weekly newspapers, Young India and Navjivan. Gandhiji appealed people to use indigenous. Foreign clothes burnt all over the country. Gandhiji started khadi clothes. After which Gandhi started his journey to Dandi. In which women from all over the country have also participated. However, after the Chauri-Chaura incident Gandhiji had to withdraw the movement.images(74).jpg
Dandi travel was actually a salt satyagraha. Whose purpose was to perform non-violent protests against British salt tax in India. On March 12, 1930, Gandhi started the journey of Dandi. After that, on 5th May 1930, Gandhiji was arrested. After which he was released on January 26, 1931. After this there was an agreement between Bapu and British Viceroy Lord Irwin on March 5, 1931, after which he was asked to come in the second Round Table Conference in London as a Congress Representative. Troubled by the attitude of the British, Gandhi again started the civil disobedience movement in January 1932.

However, Gandhiji wrote his autobiography before this. In 1927, Gandhi's autobiography The Story of My Experiments with Truth was published. Within three years, nearly 3 million copies of this book were sold. After this translation of this book has also been translated into many languages. Gandhiji wrote everything in his autobiography about everything about himself. He also wrote mistakes which he did in youth

Mahatma Gandhi was in jail when the communal award was announced in the year 1932. Under this award, a separate constituency was set for minority groups. That was an effort to divide the Hindu community. Gandhi ji sat on the fast unto death on September 20, 1932, opposing the award. After which the British passed the Poona Act. Under which the minority sections were specifically given reservation under the joint constituency in the Legislature. On May 8, 1933, Mahatma Gandhi announced a 21-day fast for the benefit of the Harijans. From 1919 to 1932, instead of a weekly newspaper called Young India, which was to be released in national interest, Harijan Newspapers started to be removed. After 1934, Gandhi started living in Sevagram under Wardha.

In 1942, Gandhi ji slogan for leaving India against the British. But during this time his wife Kasturba died at the age of 74. The release of the Quit India Movement and the stress of hard life spent in the Sabarmati Ashram became the main cause of his illness. Kasturba Gandhi's last rites were performed in the Aga Khan Mahal jail

On 15th August, 1947, India got independence from the Legislature with relentless efforts. But this pleasure of independence brought a nasal wound of sharing. The country has two pieces. Become India and Pakistan. To make Pakistan a Muslim After which riots started all over the country. This was the toughest phase for Gandhiji. The country got independence but people used to hit each other to kill each other. After Gandhiji's tireless efforts, the country got out of the fire of riots. But a few months later, a bomb was thrown at Gandhiji. But a few days later, on January 30, 1948, when Mahatma Gandhi was going out of Delhi's Birla temple with his evening prayers, a person named Nathuram Godse started firing on them. Nathuram Godse conducted three bullets one after the other. At the time of the shoot, Gandhi ji fell on the ground and the last word which came out of his mouth was Ram.

It was difficult for the country to believe that someone could kill Bapu too. The wave of grief was raging in the country. An era man had passed away from us. But his learning of truth and non-violence always remained with us. Not only the people of the country but also the foreigners were very influenced by Gandhiji. The United Nations announces Gandhi's birthday on October 2 as International Nonviolence Day. According to the proposal of United Nations General Assembly of 15 June 2007, International Day of Dissolution is an opportunity to disseminate the message of non-violence through education and public awareness.images(72).jpg
