TIme management is the key to success for everything you do in life. Whether you are a student or an employee or an entrepreneur, the way you manage time can essentially make or break your career. How often do you find yourself thinking that you could have done something better if only you had more time? More often than not, it is not the lack of time itself, it is the lack of proper management of the time we have that leads to such situations. Here are a few tips to improve your time management skills:

  1. Procrastination is your mortal enemy. The main reason we often find ourselves with no time while approaching a deadline is that we tend to put off doing things until the last minute.
  2. Learn to prioritize your tasks. Always do the most important one first.
  3. While doing any task, make sure you are solely focusing on the task at hand and are not distracted by anything else.
  4. Always set goals for yourself to complete a certain task in a certain amount of time and write it down in a place where you can see it prominently.
  5. Don't try to tackle a big task in one go. Instead, break it up into smaller parts and set a timeline for finishing each of them.
  6. Always be well-organized. We spent quite a lot of time looking for things we have misplaced.
  7. Always take a minute to think if there is an easier, less time-consuming way of doing something.
  8. Limit the amount of time you spent on social media and when you do go online, set a timer so that you don't lose track of time.
  9. Don't get bogged down by details. Details are important but it is always better to concentrate on the bigger picture.

Follow the above tips and you will realize that not only are you completing all your tasks on time, you also have some spare time to indulge yourself.

Since you indicated procrastination as a mortal enemy I will close steemit and go back at work :-)

Hehe...I would advise limiting the time spent online. Not cutting it off altogether. :)

That is definitely a great advice. I will try to follow it ;-)
