e-readers

in #life6 years ago

Long ago when there was no language, people used to convey messages using gestures and other signs.
Slowly the humans began to speak the languages and developed the art of writing their languages on rocks and walls.
Paper was invented and now it became easier for the people to write on the papers.

People now began to write long books and keep the records there.
People started writing auto biographies and the history and other stuff and kept the records in the books but their writing never reached many people before the invention of printing press.
Printing press was able to publish hundreds if thousands of books and then sell them for money.
The writer gained the readers and money at the same time.

Out came the e-readers, also known as e-book devices which are designed for the purpose of reading e-books.
E-reader is an electronic mobile device which has screen on which the text is displayed.
There are huge advantages of these e-readers over the conventional books.
You just need a single e-reader where you can store thousands of books and read whatever you want.

The first e-reader was introduced by Amazon in November 2007 for the cost of $399 which was sold out in just 6 hours.
It took 5 months for them to be available for longer periods.
E-readers have changed the way how we read books and at the same time changed the publishing industry as well.
The writers who got lot of rejections for publishing a book can now reach their audiences without even publishing their books.
Amazon continues to be the global leader in e-readers.

E-Readers changed a lot! Many people still say that they prefer normal books, because e-readers just don't give you the real experience of flipping pages. I really understand this point of view, but for travelling with light luggage and being able to read all the books that are out there, this is the perfect solution. :)

E-readers have a lot of advantages. It's easy to just read whichever book one wants without any trouble. You don't need to go to a store or order online to buy a book. Plus it's lightweight and can be carried along while travelling.
Although I still prefer normal books rather than e-books. The sweet essence of pages of a book is unbeatable.

Nice post.. There's more of disadvantages of E-book or E-reader especially in Third World countries where technology is poor.. It requires a workable device before you can have it and that device consume electricity energy.. You are verily aware that, There's poor level of electricity energy in some parts of Africa.... With all these, plenty people prefer books to E-book and it is what the school institutions here prefer.. It's not encouraging... Nice piece Sir
