Be strong and courageous.
Be strong and courageous to obey our Heavenly Father. This is a call to action throughout Scripture. Our Heavenly Father goes before us into battle. He always keeps His promises. He gives us instructions for our benefit, which teach us how to walk in righteousness. Will you be strong and courageous to walk in them?
Obedience to our Heavenly Father never seems popular. It's why He has to remind us many times in Scripture. Here we have Moses encouraging the people of Israel who had just received the ten well known instructions at My. Sinai. Next, Joshua is encouraged to lead righteously after Moses has died. And we follow with David spurring Solomon to walk in obedience to our Heavenly Father's instructions as he takes the kingship, to be strong and courageous to walk in them.
Our Messiah, the anointed King from the line of David, was strong and courageous to walk in obedience to our Heavenly Father's instructions. He walked righteously. He showed us how to do it, and he invites us to follow his example to "walk as he walked". Be strong and courageous to walk in obedience to our Heavenly Father.
His Way alone is Truth and brings Life.
