Lake Garda, probably most of you have heard about this awesome sight in the northern part of Italy. Today one of our friend took us to a place called Rocca di Manerba near the Lake. As it turns out there has always been a fortification here since the ancient times. Now you can only see the remaining parts of it but the view speaks for itself.

From the top there are several trails leading you down to the oasis. If you feel the power you can choose the steep stairs, some parts of this trail can be seen in our video. If you wanted to use a lighter trail you have the possibility to follow the road across the parking area.

The parking is really easy and free but perhaps we were lucky with the timing. Once you arrive down to the this natural oasis you can see different types of orchids and extremely rich fauna. If you follow the steep roads down the hill side you will find hidden beaches if you prefer less crowded places.

However I would recommend going down to the main beach near the bottom of the hill. It can be really crowded but still will have enough space to lie down and have a nice picnic which we had :).

This was our first time visiting Lake Garda and it took our breath away. This azure blue water combined with the mountains is something I haven't seen before. And even today the water was really warm and inviting can't imagine what it will be like in the middle of the summer.
