Just today I ran into this quote and it resonated with me on a very profound level! Words are indeed very powerful. They hold the power to ruin or make lives. Biggest wars of this world could be prevented through a few kind words and a few words themselves were the reason for ruining thousands of lives.

I am not talking about that today though. I am simply talking today about how our day to day behavior affects others. Sometimes, unknowingly we keep hurting someone close to us. We do not pay much heed to it at the moment but, every single unkind word that comes out of us, piles on to that person slowly until they can take no more and lash out.

I strongly believe that no matter what you are fighting about, no matter how angry you are, always measure your words and think hard before you utter them, because words once leave your mouth cannot be brought back just like an arrow that has been shot from the arch cannot be brought back. Think of your relationship with people like an elastic! Every time you say something really hurtful and make it too personal, you are stretching that elastic a little bit. It keeps going on and on and one day the elastic will simply snap and there will be no coming back from that.

So it is time that we stop taking people for granted, they will not always come back. It is important we think before we speak, oh and, a little compassion and forgiveness will only make you into a better person.
