How to grow fruits and vegetables from seed?

1. Removing the seed from the avocado carefully (without cutting it)
2. Washing it clean of all the avocado fruit
3. All avocado pits have a bottom (from where the roots will grow) and a top (from which the sprout will grow). The flat End is the bottom. To get your seed to sprout, you will need to place the bottom (root end) in water. Take three toothpicks and stick them at a downward angle into the seed (I only had screws :D)
4. Fill a drinking cup with some water
5. Place the pit in with the bottom submerged in water (keep the top of the seed dry)
6. Replacing the evaporated water
7. In 2-4 weeks you should be able to see the root growing out of the bottom of the seed.
8. Around 7-8 weeks, the leaf should start to grow out of the top of the seed.
9. Removing the toothpicks
10. Once the root is about 15cm long, planting it in a pot with a 25cm diameter and leaving the top half of the seed exposed. Place the pot in a spot with plenty of sun.
11. Give it frequent waterings with an occasional deep soak. The soil should always be moist, but not saturated. Yellowing leaves are a sign of over-watering - let the plant dry out for a few days.

1. Entferne vorsichtig den Kern aus der Frucht (ohne den Kern dabei einzuschneiden)
2. Wasche das restliche Fruchtfleisch gründlich ab
3. Jeder Avocadokern hat eine Unterseite (aus der die Unterseite wächst) und eine Oberseite(aus der der Sprössling keimt). Das flache Ende ist die Unterseite. Damit der Samen sprießt, muss man die Unterseite in Wasser setzen. Jetzt nimmt man drei Zahnstocher und steckt gleichmäßig mit einem nach unten geneigten Winkel um den Kern herum. (Ich hatte nur Schrauben :D)
4. Fülle ein Glas mit Wasser
5. Setze den Avocadokern mit den Zahnstochern auf den Rand des Glases, sodass er bis zur Hälfte unter Wasser liegt
6. Das verdunstete Wasser muss immer nachgefüllt werden
7. In 2-4 Wochen sollte die Wurzel aus der Unterseite des Kerns gewachsen sein.
8. Nach ca. 7-8 Wochen sollte der Trieb oben aus dem Kern rauswachsen.
9. Jetzt werden die Zahnstocher entfernt
10. Wenn die Wurzel ca. 15 cm lang ist, wird der Kern bis zur Hälfte in einen Topf mit mind. 25 cm Durchmesser gesetzt. Anschließend den Topf an einen sonnigen Ort stellen.
11. Regelmäßig Wasser zugeben. Der Boden soll immer feucht gehalten aber nicht überwässert werden. Bei gelben Blättern wurde zu viel Wasser gegeben. - lass die Pflanze einige Tage trocknen.
