Every habit has a trigger.
Want to focus faster?
Get an hourglass (sand clock).
Turn it over.
Work for whatever the time it takes for all the sand to reach the other side.
Every habit has a trigger.
Turning the hourglass is a simple way to trigger your focusing efforts.
In the book The Power of Habit, Charles Duhigg, says that habits consists of three elements:
- A cue (trigger)
- A routine (sequenced actions)
- A reward (feel-good stuff that hijacks your brain into wanting to repeat your actions)
Turning the hourglass is the trigger.
But...
You don’t even need the hourglass.
You can use anything as your habit's trigger/cue.
Other cues:
- deep breaths
- starting a stopwatch
- blocking social media
- putting an instrumental song in a loop
Choose your trigger.
Get into a focused state.
Win!
Do it, because you can
Anything you constantly talk about grows in power.
Silence is the best revenge.
Every time you speak, you put a new vibration out into the world.
One that is either building the reality that you want, or a reality that you don't want. The rub is that you may not even know you're creating the bad reality....
"By knowing the Large, you know the Small; and from the Shallow, you reach the Deep." -Miyamoto Musashi
Focus on what you can control - the small things.
Dial in the BASICS and you are golden.
You don't have to wake up and be perfect
You just have to wake up willing to try
Put some effort in this morning
Make it a good day
Most people will tell you to sell what’s in high demand now
I’ll tell you to build a brand around your personality, likes and curiosity
You constantly avoid pain & seek comfort
This is why no one will remember your name
If this hurts
It should
If you avoid pain long enough
It eventually finds you
Stop Avoiding
Start Embracing
Start your morning with Resistance Training
Train to resist the BS coming at you throughout the day
Start your day with sleeping in
Sleep on the opportunities the day has to offer
Your morning dictates the rest of your day
Start off Strong
Rich people take action.
Poor people make excuses.
If you think this sub-article is about money, you missed the lesson.

Stop trying to be Sexy
Perform the Ugly with Excellence
If your not winning, your losing.
Plain and simple.
No sugar coated bullsh*t.
That’s how life goes.
If you’re wondering if your winning... your not.
The winners know.
The losers question.
Doing the right thing is something you will never regret.
While it may be easier to do the wrong thing, the warrior in you doesn’t take the easy way out.
The above is so true. What percentage of these are your own creations and what are from others? How long have you been collecting them?
Am super humbled for the recognition. TBH with you, I have been collecting this threads from various of my friends, who some are mentors, coaches and motivational speakers then I compile them and create a useful blog to help anyone who comes across my articles on steemit
Your Welcome,
Many (40) years ago I attended a Positive Thinking course and truly believe that most peoples problems stem from not enough positive thinking.
