How To Deal With Serpents

in #life5 years ago

I am a firm believer in making things as easy as possible.

The easier it becomes, the less room for error on your end.

Once you simplify, you just do the needed tasks & move on.

But here's the funny thing about humans...

We like complexity.

We like complexity because simplicity scares us.

Our entire lives, we were taught to be complex.

When we were in school, we were learning 6-7 subjects, not one.

We mainly multi tasked.

We played with 1 toy, before we went searching for the next.

Our fear of missing out, led us to stay busy.

But I'm here to tell you that in the real world, complexity is a waste of time.

Especially when dealing snakes!

A snake is a character in the social dynamics world, known for backstabbing.

They smile to your face & talk shit behind your back.

'Are snakes & haters the same?'

Nope.

You know exactly who your haters are. But you aren't quite sure who the snakes are.

And the fact that you don't know who they are makes the day of reckoning sting a lot more.

When you find out that you've been back stabbed by someone who you had love for, it hurts.

You feel betrayed, disappointed, confused ......and angry.

The level of anger makes you make your next move very complex, rather than simple.

And that level of complexity is known asrevenge.

Revenge is your untamed ego's next plan of action for you.

Since this snake back stabbed you, you feel like the most effective move is to hurt them in some way.

So you use your emotions & mind to devise a plan to get your revenge.

Rather than work on your goals, you allocate most of your time towards the getting them back.

Results?

Further hurt on your end.

And at this point, you have strayed so far from your path, that now you find it difficult to go back to your mission.

All the energy could have been used on your goals, dreams or desires.

But no.

You gave it to the snake.

Want to know the saddest part?

You made the snake feel important.

More often than not, the snake is happy that you find them so important to seek revenge.

They find your efforts amusing.

Humans work in weird ways.

'Damn Armani! I don't want to bring joy to the person who made me suffer. So what should I do?'

You keep it simple.

Quietly burn the bridge & move on with your life.

'Wait what?? No revenge?'

Nope.

'No name calling?'

Nah.

'No gossiping?'

No!

Rather, invest all that energy back to further yourself.

Snakes are abundant in the real world, my friend.

The honest truth is that the older you get, the less you trust.

Not the other way around.

Use betrayal as a learning moment & an opportunity to toughen up.

Snake bites sting, I know.

But it happens to everyone who steps foot in the social arena.

Just know how to deal with them rationally, rather than impulsively.

Ignoring them requires 0 time & effort from your end.

And now you have made them feel unimportant like the low level sack of shit that they are.

It's a win-win on your end.

Ignoring someone who did you dirty is one of the toughest things you can do.

But the tougher it is, the more character it builds.

Take the road less taken.

In a few days, weeks, months, once the feeling of hurt has subsided, the feeling of pride will take its spot.

Feeling proud of yourself is the ultimate way to boost your self confidence.

So do the difficult now & reap the rewards later!

You will not be disappointed.
