Very pertinent and inspiring. If we all could glean a little wisdom from one another-rather than trying to outdo one another-the humanity (in the human) would surely progress/increase exponentially, resulting or, culminating, in a more successful society which would then, in turn, benefit each of us as well, as well as bringing us all a step closer to Celestial Glory. God's truth. Thank you phyllyc

Thankyou for your comment @rockyozz. I agree we can learn about ourselves through others, and I certainly have in my time :)

Hi phillyc; have been thinking about that. If everyone would get rid of their pride, climb off of their high horses, and learn a little humility-to become teachable-we all would soon be in a much better space. There is too much 'I' and not enough 'you' and 'they'. Love one another and the rest will look after itself. Look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves as well! We need to look out to others and stop focusing on me and I. The sad truth is that most of us know this but are very quickly and easily overcome by the govern of greed on almost a daily basis. It takes dedication and disciple like discipline to discern and to decide daily to direct our decisions to the most desirable destination. (excuse the almost atrocious alliteration-trying to appease my Aunt Jane!) Get off your 'high horses', pick up a shovel and get to work! And stop looking at how deep your neighbour has dug-dig your own hole as deep as you can/need.

This really is true, most human beings have an absolutely obsession with this "I" that we take to be who we are. And this is the root cause of so many frictions and conflicts.

We can learn to live more selflessly, by cultivating those habits. Yes I totally agree that we can easily be overcome by our current conditioning (and what is all around us) - which is to ruthlessly pursue self interest. To cultivate this new way of life requires a deep inner strength and a empathy toward others.

The only true and lasting soltutions from my perspective is to pursue the path of liberation and self realization. From that point we will no longer be stuck in this endless game of personalities, which inneviatably leads to some foolishness and wasted energy.

Touche' Merci!

In all my travels I have found that the greatest tool for communication is humility. So I concur with the subject of the discussion. It's great to put a button on the ego, even if temporarily, so we can see outside our own bubbles.

That's an awesome wisdom that you have, probably because of your choice to play on the streets and be a part of that culture. I have always noticed a subtle game where there can be a division between professional people, and the people who choose to live and work as vagrants and travelers.

Buskers are so awesome in this way, because they create a connection in a potentially disconnected situation.
