Yesterday 14th February 2018 the Uyo Steemit community (of which I am a member and administrator to the community) executed the much anticipated Steemit uyo cares project with the aim of expressing love to the orphanage children at the orphanage home in Uyo. We brought enduring smiles on the faces of the children on the special valentine day.

How Fund Was Generated

As one of the finance administrators to the community, myself and other selfless steemians (members and non-members) voluntarily donated some of our Steemit earning towards the success of the Steemit uyo cares project. Courtesy of @samuelwealth coordination.

Items Gotten For The Children

We bought a lot of food and material items for the children which include 6 cartoons of Noodles, a bag of Garri, a bag of rice, toiletries such as disinfectant, washing soap, bathing soap etc, packs of soft drinks, cooking oil and other cooking ingredient, sanitary pad for the teenage girls, breakfast food item and books to support their education.

At The Venue

When we arrived the venue, we spent quality time doing the following:

@samstickkz had interaction with the children by getting to know their names.
@ekjosh inspired the orphan kids to take their education seriously and have strong believe in themselves that they are of great value to the society.
We celebrated the Birthday of the orphans born in the month of February.
@samstickkz presented the items we brought for the orphan kid to the orphanage officials.

After The Outreach

All the steemians who came for the outreach decided had lunch together where we also utilized the opportunity to have a mini Steemit meet up, to learn more about the Steemit blockchain.
