earthen pot are porous in nature which helps in cooling water. actually they work on evaporation technology. when the water from the outside of the pot is evaporated water get cooled inside which also have minerals in it. Earthen pot is also cheap which do not put burden on pocket.

Now a days mainly water is stored in plastic bottles. plastic bottle is easy to carry but have content like BPA. which is very harmful to the human body. earthen pot improve testosterone level in human body and also improve digestion.

Glass is also best to store water. For cleaning clay pot just rub the inside part with soft hands and change the water nothing more to do. And never use detergent to clean.
