As I made to the front, to read the long epistle I had written for her, a tear dropped from my eyes.

Tonie was strong, full of excitement, love and light. She was an epitome of beauty, but that beauty only radiated outwardly.
She was the kind of lady anyone would want to be with, but maybe not for too long.
Tonie believed she wasn't doing well enough, nobody loved her and so she hated herself.
She was doing so much but wasn't recognized, all she needed was a little encouragement but got none.
I envied Tonie from afar but I never told her. I never told her how much of an inspiration she was to me. I only wanted to be like her.
It was such a shock to hear of Tonie's death. ⚰
Tonie committed suicide for she felt so unloved.
I looked from the piece in my hands and as against the long epistle I had written down, I could only say.....

"If only I had told you how much I looked up to you, how much I envied you, you probably wouldn't be down there right now".
The tears welled up in my eyes were now uncontrollable and I had to be helped to my seat.
I sat and listened to everyone say sweet words about Tonie, but not once were these words said to her while she was alive.

A lot of people receive more flowers at their graves than in their entire life time.

Why give a dead man flower which he wouldn't appreciate?

Many people are struggling in their various fields of endeavors and all you can give to them is a little encouragement, to cheer them up, make them feel loved, make them feel appreciated.

A story was told of a company whose employees have been on the job for well over many years, yet they choose to remain.
After research was made, it was discovered that the owner of the company went about complimenting each one for a job well done, which made the workers happy.

Appreciation is a wonderful thing. It makes what is excellent in others belong to us as well.

Is there someone doing an extraordinary job, why not tell it to them?
All they might need to hear is a genuine compliment from you.

Give them flowers while you can 🌺🌻🌹

You never can tell how much that flower will mean to them while they're still alive.

Show someone you care, and mean it.
