Does vexation make you suffer or helps you grow?

in #life6 years ago (edited)

Even after reading a lot of books and done tons of practicing, I often get vexed and pain.

When I talk to my friends and seek advice, out of 10 answers, 9 of the answers I got were similar.

You are worried because you are too free and think too much. When you are busy, you might even forget to eat, fall asleep when you reached home, and you won’t have the time to think about all these things.

Of course, they are saying these with good intentions, not malicious. They try to help me in the way they think best.

On this level, I really appreciate each other's company and help.

But every time I heard this, I will feel very uncomfortable.

Of course, this advice has its good side.

The reason why we worry is that we are too free, didn’t make good use of our time; rather than thinking too much, at least do something practical.

Instead of worrying about it, it is better to spend our time learning new skills and accomplishing things that we haven't done yet, and we can bring more benefits to ourselves.

But there is another way to interpret this advice.

You are worrying because you are too free. So keep yourself busy until there is no time to think, then you won’t be worrying.

The reason you have a fever is that you are sick. What is needed now is to pay attention to the problems behind this annoyance and make a response.

Instead of letting yourself get busy, don't deal with your illness.

It is like you are lovelorn, you do not heal your heart, but keep yourself busy with a lot of work until you have no time to think about it.

You think "time will cure everything", but that's not the case.

You are badly hurt, you need to take medicine to recover.

But you choose not to eat, you think your body will heal by itself, but you are just letting the disease continue to deteriorate.

The reason you are vexed, worried, is that you have problems within yourself, telling you that you need to spend time, know your heart better, heal yourself, and do some inner lessons.

When the vexation comes, it represents a problem that might hurt you, and you need to solve it.

It's just that the negative emotion makes it hard for you to think calmly and make a solution.

You can calm yourself down by meditating, adjusting your breathing, the sub-sensing transformation in NLP, or any other methods.

When your emotions calmed down and enter a normal state, it is more acceptable to acknowledge the existence of the problem and think about countermeasures and achieve it.

Once the problem is solved or a decision is made to deal with it, your mind will naturally feel much better, and the feeling of vexed will disappear.

When we are free, the negative thoughts that are suppressed at this time are released and occupy our attention.

At this time, what we need to do is to learn to recognize the existence of these problems, make a response, rather than suppress and ignore it.

Take a look at your beliefs, leave a positive belief, and replace those negative beliefs with a better belief.

Through the emergence of vexation, we have the opportunity to modify this belief, become better and happier.

The response you made to your vexation doesn’t mean that there will be no vexation in the future.

But through solving the vexation each time, adjust your beliefs, the length of the pain will become lesser, the length of happiness will increase.
