Little Pretty Girl

There was once a little pretty girl.
So sweet she was, to twirl she liked to in dresses.
Her footprint she left,
Everywhere she goes.
Almost contagious was her smile,
Outrageous was the amount of love she received.

But she then grew up.
In her cup her tea wasn't as easily.
The greatest luck she didn't have,
And this is truly because people suck.
She lost friends as a teenager.
Most of them because high school surely ends.

She was called names by people,
Her heart was played with like a string of games by boys.
Don't get fooled by this information.
If she wanted to she could decide to be herself.
She could wear her dress, sometimes, like when she was a little girl,
Stand in front of her mirror as she watch herself twirl.

Though she has come of age,
And the thought that she had been destroyed by years going by,
She was not right, she could still be as sweet as ever.
She could still leave a footprint.
And she could still recreate that contagious smile.

Just because of the names,
As well as the games,
That she didn't see.
She felt she's been trampled upon more than a dirty foot mat.
