Whatsup everyone, quick update here on J-Fresh. Grown all naturale outdoors on the balcony in cloudy Southern California. This is the first one so no idea how it looks. What do you guys think?
I don't know when you need to trim this bad boy and how do you dry it. How long should I hang it up to dry for, I need some advice from the pros.
Who doesn't love it?! Wait until the trichomes turn about 80 percent cloudy and then it is time to chop her down and trim her up!
This may sound stupid, but what are trichomes and how do I know if they're cloudy?
The trichomes are the crystals on the bud and get yourself a jeweler's magnifier or just a magnifying glass and if they are perfectly see through then it's not ready yet. Once the majority cloud up, it is time to harvest!

Sweet @woodrow. That all depends on the strain and a few other factors, but I would just suggest waiting until the last frost. (obviously you don't always know when that will be, but you can always be safe a wait a bit longer)
There are tons of other factors when growing outdoors, but from the post you wrote it seems like you are balcony growing. Not sure how much sunlight you are getting but to be really successful you need to get the most sunlight as possible.
You also want to have large pots to give your plants plenty of room to grow and flourish.
I would suggest doing some Google searches or YouTube to check out some other balcony grows and how they made it successful.
