It was only last week that I was discussing this matter with my father. He wanted to apply rain water harvesting system in our house at the time of construction but since we receive only 500mm rainfall annually, it doesn't count much. But recently, municipality people installed dedicated sewerage lines in our city. So I told my father that now our septic tank has become redundant and instead of just covering it, it would be better to dig out its flooring and connect drainage pipes from roof into it to at least recharge some ground water.
