Abundance consciousness requires stepping outside of the most common social scripts and perceptions

Principle 4. Step Outside the Common Social Scripts and Perceptions

Generally, if you find yourself thinking, acting and behaving in a manner similar to most other people, it’s a major warning sign that you really need to mix it up and shift the way you’re thinking. This is because 80% of the world’s population is not living in abundance consciousness, and if you’re sharing the same thoughts and behaviors, guess what? You won’t be anywhere in the vicinity of abundance consciousness.

The most common disempowering social script box that blocks people’s energy from really growing is that a majority of people whine and complain about the government. They complain about politics, employment rates and the economy and often use that as a major justification for why they can’t find work.

It’s a victimhood mentality – don’t buy into it.

I’m sure you’ve heard, “where there’s a will, there’s a way.” There is always some solution to every problem; it just depends on how you look at it.

The key here is to reflect and assess whether you share similar ideas and belief systems with people who tend to struggle, stress and strain with life and who lack financial freedom or abundance. If you do, it’s time to move away from those conversations and shift away from those belief systems.

The easiest way to do this is to read books by people who are inspirational and upbeat. Notice how they view the world. Notice how they made their successes. Another and more powerful way is to surround yourself with people whom you consider successful and abundant AND who think differently.

Finding a mentor is highly recommended. An easy way to identify a mentor is to ask yourself, is this person smarter/wealthier/healthier/(depending on your goals) than me? If so, then they will likely serve as a mentor to you in some way.

Waiting for someone, or some big company, to come along and save the day by offering you a job is not the way. It generates a needy energy, a sense of dependence, and this is essentially disempowering to the human spirit. It also allows others to take advantage of your neediness, making you compromise on your values in order to “get the job.”

Work instead at building your skills and knowledge. Make yourself a master of many things. Train yourself to think outside the box. Teach yourself how to focus and apply yourself to learning new skills. Train yourself to think in a way that’s different from 80% of the world’s population - It’s actually not very hard!

You can even take notes on what non-abundant, non-happy, victimhood mentality people do and simply don’t do that! Instead, make yourself dynamic and unique. Go it alone if you have to!

Eventually, you will be so unique and switched on that people will pay just to be around you.
