It amazes me that people will send money to these preachers and pastors on the television. It's pure theater. Several decades ago a had a friend who was obsessed with what we called the "crying preacher." This guy could cry on demand for the camera and he was just such an entertainer. Luckily, we just watched in amazement that someone could blatantly ask for money when he obviously had enough. ;-)
We had these vipers in my own family. I was astonished to see how well my grandparents lived while running their little church empire.
They used to make fun of the poor church members at the dinner table, while bragging about how much money they had.
Once you get to "peek behind the curtain" you never look at them the same way again...

It takes all kinds. And there are many lovely people out there who do not lie and steal, thank goodness. We all have choices to make every day. Hopefully we learn from our mistakes sooner than later so that we can make the world and our communities a better place.
