Priorities.. Do you have them?

You heard a lot of times people that talk about priorities, but do most of these people actually have a priority list?
I wouldn't say so.

Now I'm going to go through the 3 things that you should implement into your life if you want to get as much value from the priorities as possible.

          1.     Dive into your own moral values.

You must have your own priorities in life. Choose them by whatever metrics you think that serves you. Don't choose them just by copying metrics of others. This doesn't mean avoiding to copy metrics of others, but first make sure that you actually understand them and agree with their reasoning. Try to understand the primary drive and motivation behind their metrics before incorporating them to your case.

          2. Why you should have the priority list?

The use of priorities in your life is not just so you can show yourself around with the list, or to show your friends that it's more important for you to get the kids out of school by yourself than gettting them on the public transport.

The list of your priorities should exist just for you, in order to make your life easier and to be more true to yourself in the times when you maybe don't have a luxury to do so.

Priorities are also of huge value when you're in dillema and don't really know what action you should take because of the uncertainty, or lack of willpower.

When you get presented with the opportunity to continue with your job, but as a consequence, you keep getting very stressed and you get the great amount of health issues because of it. What to do?

Well, it would be easier to answer that question if you already chose whether you value work or financial income over your health condition. So, for the next point, I'm going to show you the basic layout of values, so that you can start making your list.

          3. Laying down the values, and creating priorities.

Here are several types of values for you:  Spirituality, Relationship(s), Work, Health, Socializing, Finance, Fun (hobbies, traveling and adventures) etc.

You can throw in several of your own values, and then list them out however you want.

Making of the list is especially important for people who tend to day-dream and think about what they should do next, should they have more fun, or work. If you have your priorities layed out, you don't have to overthink what you should do, and when you rest, you rest, when you work, you work, there is no "what if".

The use of priorities is most important when one is in a dillema. If you can't choose between few things, recall the prioroty list that you have written and then act after what pops up first in your list. After a bit of using your list, assess it's pros and cons and re-question if you should change the sequence of your priorities.

It's important to note, you don't want to use the priority list too strictly, and hold it as a bible. It should be used as a helping tool, to make your life simpler and more enjoyable.

After all, the advice you decide to take IN should be beneficial to you, not detrimental, rigth?

So if it doesn't feel right, step off a bit and figure out whether there is something wrong with your list.

Procrastination should be last on your list, so grab a piece of paper now and come up with your own LIST!!

This is a great task if you want to cosider to start living a more fulfilling life this year!

When you do it, please post it here in comments, so that we can discuss why we hold some values over the others.

BEST WISHES !!
