Lipsticks That Last All Day: Review of We Makeup
The new We Makeup matte and liquid lipstick is a game changer in the staying power of a liquid lipstick.
There is nothing more annoying than spending all that time perfecting the perfect lip and it rubs off the second you sip your latte! I feel like I am always on the hunt for lipsticks in the right shade AND that will last all day. When Italian brand We Makeup reached out to review their new liquid and matte lip colors I was excited but not really expecting much. While browsing their site I was excited to see what a fun range of colors they have from lavender to metallics to primary colors. I chose six that I thought would go great on multiple skin tones and were missing in my giant lipstick collection.
These were all true to color on the computer so nothing came as a surprise when it arrived. All of the colors had strong pigments so the colors went on true and you couldn't see my natural lip color coming through.
They apply via an angled doe foot applicator to ensure a precise application. The texture of these cream lipsticks is like lip paint. It coats the lips in an easily controlled thick lacquer with insanely good pigment. The formula didn't feel sticky or glossy.
I was happy with how fast the formula dried and once it did dry it was stuck in place. I had to use an oil-based balm and micellar water to remove them. They didn't have a weird flavor/scent; it is kind of a sweet vanilla.
Overall, I loved these lip colors. From the shades to the texture, to the scent it was all a win for me.
