MARRIAGE

Marriage is a special social activity common among humans. It is one of the most important aspect of the existence of a person. Animals and even plants also marry, but in a different way. Because it is a union of two that desire, or ought to be together in mutual understanding and cooperation. The marriage situation is also applied to non living things. Often, two things are said to be married, like marrying two colors. In this vein, marriage occur between two that agree, or are agreeable, as in arranged marriages, or the marriage of imbeciles.

PURPOSE

The purpose of marriage is primarily for two to move together, so that the other will always support the other. A marriage partner is therefore a helpmate. In a marriage union, both partners, even if it is a polygamous setting, have equal but different or distinct functions, no matter what the motive for the union might be. A marriage partner fills in a gap for the other.

A lot of people do not understand the purpose of marriage, that is why whenever they get into the institute, they suffer a lot. Most people marry for the wrong purpose, often selfish ones. The reasons why some people marry are such that it is better if they are not married,! Some of them do it because they see people getting married or they want people to see them as married folks, or the marriage ceremony is where the marriage starts and ends. Other people marry for lawful procreation, others for acquisition of wealth, some for a woman's aesthetics, others for the spiritual lifestyle of the person, sexual prowess, material things, fame and power, family background, security and a lot of other reasons.

LOVE

It is widely believed or accepted that love should be the best reason for people to come together in marriage! Is it (love) an automatic process? Can it grow or diminish over time? Love, in truth is a very strange emotion that sometimes affect unlikely parties. While it is a very important component in marriage, it might not necessarily be the top factor. Some people believe patience or tolerance could keep a marriage going or alive, whatever the driving force may be, but even that has it's limit. There are people that endured marriage because of their children and when all are grown and married, leaving the parents alone, what will keep the union?

COMPATIBILITY

The best and safest way to ensure a lasting marriage union is COMPATIBILITY. When both partners are compatible, they don't have to tolerate each other, they automatically flow in almost everything! Such fellows are always friends, because they think almost alike, they have same interests and will find it easy to always understand why the other does what he did. Sometimes out of desperation, or just cunningly, a person will try to learn another's interests and whenever in the person's company, will act like mindedly, deceiving such a one into believing they are compatible and after getting what they want, they return to their real selves, because a person's character will always manifest itself, no matter how one tries to veil it. Most of the time such dubious folks get away with their acts, which is why it might help to be involved in courtship before getting married.

DISTANCE

When in a relationship with someone that lives far away from you, do not be in a haste to marry that person, unless if both of you intend to spend most of your marital life apart. It is very important to spend a lot of time together when in courtship and to be extra mindful of "little things", as that will enable you to know the level of compatibility between the two of you, or if it even exist! A compatible person to you is someone who's thoughts you can easily feel, someone who's actions are as if it is yours, a person who's temperament always agrees with yours. Astrology might sound fetish to the religiously minded, but it helps tremendously in guiding a person to identify a compatible partner, however, the spirit controlled temperaments of the sanguine, phlegmatic, choleric and melancholic classifications of the religiously inclined is as much a guide as astrology in determining a compatible partner. In all of these, there are actors all the time, be careful to read in between the lines in order to know the real from the fake. The actors don't always last long in their acting!

CHOICE

Marriage is supposed to be a sacred union that should last a lifetime. No matter how one thinks or believed he/she ought to get married, or is ready to do it, very careful consideration of what marriage is should be made before getting into it. Chosing the partner is also important. One has to see or imagine the partner in different ways or circumstances and still be convinced to accept him/her.

DIVORCE

When marriage is eventually consummated, there should be acceptance, which comprises of tolerance and patience. If there are too many sorrows in a marriage relationship, staying in the marriage is the worst thing a person can do. God might hate divorce, but what is the point of staying in a marriage with a person that is destroying you? If you stay in an unhealthy marriage, there's no way you will keep away from sin! If divorce will take you to hell, so also will an unhealthy marriage. Why live in hell in marriage union on earth and in hell when you die? Because you made the mistake of marrying the wrong person, do not make the bigger mistake of staying in that bondage. Marriage might be important, but it is not the only thing to do on earth!

There are people that loved each other more than anything in the world, but after marriage, discovered the institute not to be an arena for romantic displays and therefore could not tolerate themselves. The love might be there, but it will not be able to keep the union and even after separation, it will still be there because it is unending, yet staying together will be awful. Imagine loving someone dearly and not be able to stand the person's presence because there is nothing in common between the two of you. Ironically, a lot of people, mostly women, prefer to stay in a marriage than alone, no matter how bitter it may be. Their level of tolerance is a lot more than that of men. Most of such women believe that there's security and a sense of pride in being married! There are those that believe an uncompromising partner might change his/her character, as such they cling to the marriage at all costs, faithfully praying or hoping on time and God to save their marriage!

DIFFERENCES

No matter who you marry, you must have differences because you are distinct from each other. No two people are exactly the same in everything, which is why the simplest way is to seek the one most compatible with you.

Love is the best of all things and it conquers all the time, that is why it's ways are filled with thorns. The rose flower will tell you all there is to know about love!
