Like a machine
I'm worried about sleep apnea, allergies, leg cramps. I'm always worried about the boys, one is rash, the other gets cold, the nose is stuffy. We're gonna have to take the dog to the vet.
So I'm thinking, while cleaning the aquarium fish, I think to change the water or something. I'm always on the corner of my never-ending list of things that will make me feel guilty when I go to bed at night. It really doesn't stop.
None of this is your fault. I do not blame you. I'm not saying I wish I was different.
You can do amazing things for your family. You work harder than anyone I know. You care about me more than anybody I know. I love you more every time I see you help a little you know.

I changed and I first evolved into a wife, then mother, friend and program adjuster. I'm like a machine that's planning a party and shopping.
I'm an expert in chicken and pasta. I'm the housekeeper, even though I can't get the layout right. Cheerleader, the library guy, it's all mine. I also do nursing day and night.
I wouldn't change any of this. I don't want anything else. I don't need another life. I love this life we created. I'm not the sexy woman who's been drinking that beer anymore. I'm a mother. I will always be. That's the only thing I've got.
