Why IOTA and Litecoin could rock 2018?

It’s amazing to see how crypto space has evolved. All in this space since 2013 at least have seen the worst and the best happening to Bitcoin. Bitcoin still stands strong after throwing any situation at it. It shows the true power of de-centralization; a true uncontrolled environment. BTC is an exception and will remain the ALPHA of the crypto space.

So I thought to research top 2 cryptos which could do miracles in this year 2018. Keep in mind it’s not always the price but the features that a crypto project delivers to attain a certain level. Price automatically follows quality and features in-built in a crypto coin. And as the title says it all; it is IOTA, and Litecoin.
As it is not always about the price let’s see what all features they have and what contributions these individual coins are going to make in this year.

Let’s begin…

1. IOTA

IOTA is an open-source distributed ledger (tangle) focused on providing secure communications and payments between machines on the Internet of Things. It focuses on the future by creating a Machine to Machine economy where in machine automatically could pay each other in any sort of micro transactions which is currently not possible with any of the Blockchain based technology.
In this new autonomous Machine Economy IOTA will be the backbone. Its Tangle ledger is able to settle transactions with zero fees so devices can trade exact amounts of resources on demand without worrying about miner and their fees.

This year looks solid for IOTA because they already have tie-ups (directly or indirectly) with several top institutions/companies for shaping our future.
Due to the fact that IOTA is both a regulated non-profit foundation based in Germany, as well as a token economy currently valued (at the time of writing) at over $10 Billion, ensuring that IOTA is accurately presented publicly is of great importance to us, our partners, and our token holders.

The data marketplace was set up by the IOTA Foundation in collaboration with more than 35 (soon close to 40) companies as an open innovation initiative, aimed at bringing forth concrete thought leadership on how a data marketplace can be built on top of a distributed ledger, the technical and legal challenges faced when rolling out in production, and the applications in certain industries that can be expected to be built once data is democratized and can move freely.

IOTA is also quantum resistant. It is way more than just a crypto currency. IOTA’s team has the brilliant minds in the industry trying to resolve an exceptional real life use case; mainly Machine to Machine economy. If used as a currency, it suits all the real life needs which is fee less, super-fast, scaling and micro-payments.

IOTA is an opportunity to change the way we look at true cashless societies. They have delivered and are delivering at rapid pace which shows their commitment towards the project. They are also in the top number of checkin/merge list on GitHub.

My prediction:

As of now it stands at $3.89 and still is in early stages after having almost 12 times growth in past few months. I think considering their developments and the way alt-coins trend is behaving currently; I won’t be surprised to see a similar growth pattern again in a month or two taking its price to approx. in between 15 to 20 USD.

2. LITECOIN

Everyone knows what Litecoin is but most of them just get mistaken assuming it as a Bitcoin clone. May be yes but LTC is way more than that. I think Litecoin is about to rise due to several reasons. Charlee Lee, who is founder of Litecoin is now heavily revising and upgrading the coin and is also trying to promote it heavily.

Flashback as of now:
• Litecoin have been stagnant for years until Charlee got it listed on Coinbase.
• Litecoin is first to implement Segwit successfully.
• Lightning Network is ready for prime time on Litecoin.
• Charlee Lee quits Coinbase to focus on the development pertaining to Litecoin.
• Litecoin is in news for some MIT’s Litecoin-oriented project which would be revealed on Aug 1st, same date as of Bitcoin’s upgrade.
• Canada’s largest exchange “Quadriga“ listed Litecoin several months back. All credit goes to Charlee. Many exchanges are adding Litecoin to its platform.
• The latest news as of writing this post; Litecoin ATMs are poping up across US / UK and Canada.
• Segregated Witness implemented

This seems pretty neat, isn’t it? Now let’s see what Litecoin is going to offer;

• Atomic swaps (Lightening network)
• Confidential Transactions
• Smart Contracts
• Schnorr Signatures

If the team is able to achieve what has been planned; this coin would be a coin threatening many in this space.
Also there is an awaited news of integration with a well-known social platform. There have been rumors that it could be Facebook. No idea but if that comes to be true then the moon isn’t that far.

My prediction:

As of now LTC stands at 255 where it achieved an astonishing growth last year from 4$ to 400$. I am pretty certain that Litecoin could end up in Thousands by year end but what’s the range? I think it could be in between 1500 to 4000 USD.

Also this altcoin pumping trend would start to slow down as the crypto space starts maturing. Only coins with true value, acceptance and a real use case would survive the bubble we are in. Yes, I said bubble because most of the crap coins are in the bubble phase.
