LongExposurePhotography - My Cousin's Wedding at Carmel Beach Resort in Blind Bay, British Columbia

My cousin got married at a beach resort in central British Columbia on Shuswap Lake. It was called Carmel Beach Resort (not to be confused with Carmel Beach in California).

I got this shot by the pool after everyone was back in their casual clothes. It was a hot summer evening and everyone was eager to get out of their suits and dresses and back into their shorts and tee shirts. I liked how the color of the pool came out with the long exposure.

The wedding was a great time at a beautiful resort. I couldn't believe the deal we got to stay at this place for an entire weekend. I think my cousin's dad subsidized the cost of our cabins. They were three story four bedroom cabins and they were very near to being brand new. They based the cost of the rooms by the size. Master bedroom was most expensive. The room with two single beds was the cheapest per person. I was in the single bedroom. Each person paid $100 CAD for the weekend. We certainly weren't paying full price for a nice place like that. Mind you they should have got a deal they rented nearly the entire resort. One or two cabins were owned privately. I think they invited the owners of the private cabins to the wedding in advance and gave them the opportunity to not be there if they so chose.

It was a great time at a beautiful place for an absolutely wonderful event and this was one of my favorite photos from the trip.
