Double Checking!

in #longgame5 years ago (edited)

The Long-Game --> A game where the process is more important than the end result. Where building your masterpiece is the most enjoyable thing to do. My posts in this Long-Game series will be investigating the Steem blockchain and all the latest happenings on it! The future is bright.

They are all referring to the long-game of the Steem blockchain and anything that remotely relates to that.

In these posts, these topics and more will frequently be touched upon:
1. dapp developments
2. interface features
3. ideas for the future
4. content creators on Steem
5. entrepreneurs on Steem
6. and anything else!

Essentially, everything is up for grabs in these posts. They’re about the future of our favorite blockchain: the Steem blockchain.

Double check your work.

Maintain a healthy skepticism of what you do and if it works.

For me, that means constant spreadsheet checks and making sure that the investments line up.

Sometimes things look worse than they actually are...

Sometimes things look too good to be true.

Regardless of how things look, estimates are only 1 part of the story.

I want to know the actual performance of how my strategies are working.

This can require a deep dive of the numbers.

It can require daily fact checking and data entry.

It actually requires me to sit down each day and enter in a bunch of data and add it to the daily report.

At the end of the week, I'll tally up all these reports and tally up my macro totals.

With these 2 separate pieces of data, I can see if my daily reports line up with my weekly estimate.

Then I can see if that weekly estimate is close to the actual change in the macro numbers.

This fact checking process is a necessary task in the world of investing!
