Guest post by @crystalll; who is responsible for failed marriages?

Yesterday I was opportuned to sit in the midst of three married women and I heard them talk about certain things about their different marriages, it was a saloon so other females were present, one thing was common though; the fact that these women were all to blame whenever something went wrong in the home! I mean everything, now that brings me to the title of this post, is it just women that should be blamed for failed marriages? Because I still do not get it! The part that intrigues me the most is that some of we women have actually accepted any blame the society is going to tag us with after or if our marriages fails, I believe that is very wrong!

Most of the time in my country when marriages fail it's the lady’s fault… if a man cheats in a relationship it's because the lady didn't do her job well… she didn't dress attractive enough, she is not very presentable or sexy enough so the man has lost interest, or she she didn't pray enough for her marriage to work, its in a man’s nature to cheat and she should have known this before she even got married to one, wow! All of these??? Okay let's say she was the one that cheated; why would she commit such an abomination, what was she looking for outside her marriage that she couldn't get from her husband, why would she even seek companionship outside her marriage?

If the children aren't acting respectfully or they grow up wayward it was the mother's fault alone , they are their mother's children but if they come out successful they are their father's children… everything negative is mostly tagged on the woman, even their jobs… if a woman earns more in the house she has no respect and is expected to quit that job in order to be totally submissive to her husband, well I do not think for any reason that this should be a valid means of reasoning, I mean? It is wrong in all dimensions, I hope the both partners in a relationship can equally share the shortcomings of that relationship, it takes two to effectively make a relationship work not the hard work of one gender alone, lets try to share relationship responsibilities and not point accusing fingers on just one gender except of course it was clear enough that it was actually a particular person’s fault things crashed; if not, let the blame be shared!

Thanks for reading, I am @crystalll!

I completely agree with you, it should not always be seen has a woman's fault, if a marriage goes wrong. Men too can be at fault, but it seems that it is mostly a woman's fault these days that marriages crash because women these days want to compete with their husbands and a man didn't marry a woman to compete with him but to help him out.

I absolutely agree with you..how could it always be the women's fault...which country are you talking about though? I feel both have to be equally responsible and you can't just blame it on someone which is so very wrong...you deserve an upvote for this post :)
