HOW TO MEET HER NEEDS!

A woman has needs, like your car needs gas. It doesn’t matter if you understand how gas works or how a car utilizes gas. You just need understand that without it, you car is still a car but it doesn’t function the way it’s supposed to. Over the years, I’ve counseled many couples, talked to men and talked to women. I have found that their needs are SIGNIFICANTLY different. This blog is a reflection of the surveys and conversations I’ve had with these women.

SAFETY, STABILITY, SECURITY
Most women need to be safe physically and emotionally in order to stay in a healthily growing relationship. If a woman feels like her safety is at risk, she won’t feel like she has a future with that guy. If there is no future, why have a present.
Whether men like it or not, women will test a man’s consistency. They check to see if the ground that man maintains is stable. If that sure ground gets shook too often, it will rob a woman of the ability to relax, respect and remain.
Women have always been attracted to money, but it’s not really in a gold digger type of way. Women need to be able to trust that a potential mate can and is willing to provide for her and any children they may have. Just like men are attracted to physical beauty, women are attracted to material provision

CONNECTION, CONVERSATION, CONFIDENCE
Women tend to have several friends who serve different roles and provide different ways to connect. Most women have the following types of friend... the “got you back”, the practical, the drama queen, the emotional supporter, and the comedian. All the friends have a way to connect and they usually do that through words, A LOT OF WORDS!
Men don’t normally have nearly as many friends nor use nearly as many words. Even though men don’t converse as much, it continues to be a need for most women. Men have to be willing to listen and have open/honest conversation. Failure to do so may lead to disconnection.
One of the most attractive characteristics a man can show is confidence. Confidence literally means “with fidelity or with faith or truth”. When a guy is confident it means he knows himself, what he wants, what obstacles are out there, and ways to persevere. Confidence normally means a guy has a degree of knowledge, understanding and wisdom, which translate to stability and security

LIVE, LAUGH, LOVE
Have you ever seen a woman with a”bad boy”? Why in the world would a seeming nice and attractive woman be with a guy who is likely going to dog her, and disrespect her. Part of the reason is likely because of that confidence that he probably has. The other part is that he is lively. Though I already said that women need stability, they also need variety. In other words, they need to live, have new experiences, go to new places. The “bad boy” is never boring.

I think the biggest need of women is the need to be loved. I saved this for last because it’s the biggest need. It has so many parts to it. Being loved means being cared for, provided for, valued, listed to, sacrificed for, made a priority. Women need to be certain of their spot in their husband’s world. Though women normally understand temporary shifting priorities, no woman wants to be constantly third or sixth. Circumstances happen where a parent is hospitalized, child has an emergency or the job promotes you. There can be no other woman, including a mother or grandmother who is more important, thus higher priority than her.

If a wife and husband are willing and able to meet one another’s needs, and keep learning as each of the change, they are likely to maintain a healthy, growing relationship.
