Watch out..love bites!

Love is silly.
It does not need to be confined to a definition, it does not want you to overthink before you admit to it, and most of all, it does need gratuitous glorification from you or your friends.
Love is window shopping by yourself and wondering if she'd like what you're looking at. Love is thinking about that one person when you're near the ocean and the waves refuse to leave you alone. Love is the fear of having to finish a whole cigarette, all by yourself. Love is unbound.
But most of all, love is silly.
Don't confuse love with relationships. No, please don't. Love doesn't even want you to reciprocate. Love is silly like that. Relationships are a whole different ball game- one that is a concoction of commitment, acceptance and pure barter. It demands more effort, and almost always contains sacrifice and reciprocity.
Love, on the other hand, transcends formalities.
I do believe you can learn to love someone, gradually. “Soulmate” is a term that is arguably fictious.. Some scientist even went to hypothize that you can be programmed to love someone if you find at least three things in common with them and stare into their eyes for four whole minutes. Sounds silly, and maybe that's why I feel like there can be some truth to the theory.
But those who have found love on their own, the sort that involves another person, consider yourself lucky.
So remind yourself that you're lucky to have fallen in love with her stupid stories, maniacal laughter and disheveled hair blowing across her face. Tell her "I love you", in full, when you should, regardless of the weight the media puts on this particular phrase. Love without fear or trepidation, but with an open mind and a reinforced heart.
Love, silly.
