Many a times we are faced with this particular question, from either our spouse or fiance,or even friends.

Different people have different ways of either answering or absconding the question.

But there is a way to know if you really love someone or not, or if your emotions are playing pranks with you.

Jesus himself gave us a perfect way to know if we truly love someone or something. He said in The book of John

If ye love me, keep my commandments.
John:14:15

One of the simplest and full-proof method to know if we love someone or if someone is in love with us is through our actions or better still deeds

Love simply is action, and one cannot negate the fact that through your actions you can pin-point the object of your love and obsession.

Action they say speaks louder than words, and monitoring one's action can explicitly illustrate the motive of the person towards you.

Just like we've read in the scriptures, If someone love you, they are motivated by themselves to keep your commandments.

Someone who loves you should always:

1. Communicate with you:

Someone who loves you must always look out for means to communicate with you, through phone calls, texts, meetings, video messaging et cetera. They would always look for several means to always be in touch with their loved ones, because communication is the bedrock of every relationship and is a major requirement to proof love for a person.

2. Be part of your life:

Someone who loves you would always try as much as he/she can to be not just a part of your life, but a huge part of your life, they would generously contribute towards your personal and professional growth and development as they know it would also rub off on them.

3 Always anticipate helping you grow:

In times of difficulties, someone who loves you would always look out for ways to help you out of your difficulty without fear of prejudice. They would always seek to help you out of your difficult situation in order to ensure that you're back on your feet again.

4. Sacrifice time and resources for your benefit:

Anyone who claims they love you and not invest valuable time with you is either fooling you or has no idea that they have no love for you. Love is sacrificial, it's patient and it requires time. The time factor should not be missed as one of the criteria to proof love.

5. Find out strategic means to settle disputes:

Every relationship has its ups and downs. Someone who loves you would always look out for ways to ensure that you settle your disputes without much hurdles and hassles.
