La lutheria es el bello arte de la CONSTRUCCIÓN DE LOS SONIDOS, bajo el empleo de algunas herramientas, las manos y nuestro ingenio.
Lutherie is the beautiful art of SOUND BUILDING, using some tools, hands and our ingenuity.
¿Cómo? ¿Quede igualito?

Sencillo! es una mezcla de artes donde empleamos nuestro ingenio, lo dejamos fluir, usamos el dibujo, el diseño, la plástica y las proporciones, luego mediante la manipulación de herramientas y para nuestro caso la fabricaron de instrumentos de cuerda, como el cuatro, mandolina y la guitarra, la talla de la madera. Ella nos va diciendo como quiere ser cortada o cepillada, es decir, la madera como una bella dama expresa sus sentimientos y nosotros escuchamos sus indicaciones, luego hacemos la proposición o transmitimos que queremos de ella al transformarla con nuestras manos... convirtiéndola en instrumentos musicales.
Simple! is a mixture of arts where we use our ingenuity, we let it flow, we use drawing, design, plastic and proportions, then through the manipulation of tools and for our case they made it from stringed instruments, like the cuatro, mandolin and guitar, the wood carving. Provengo de una familia de artistas, soy hijo de inmigrantes libaneses y grandes artistas, que hicieron un gran periplo por el mundo y se detuvieron en el hermoso paraíso venezolano a las orillas del Mar Caribe, aquí arrullados por las olas de Puerto Cabello, se enamoraron del país, pasaron a los llanos de Cojedes y posteriormente a Barquisimeto.
I come from a family of artists, I am the son of Lebanese immigrants and great artists, who made a great journey around the world and stopped in the beautiful Venezuelan paradise on the shores of the Caribbean Sea, here lulled by the waves of Puerto Cabello, fell in love with the country, went to the plains of Cojedes and then to Barquisimeto.

Mi madre fue una hermosa poetisa y escritora y mi padre un excéntrico artista del teatro y músico, todos sus hijos varones, fuimos y somos excelentes ejecutantes de instrumentos musicales, con quienes forme grupos musicales de diversos géneros, mi hermanito menor fue un virtuoso de los instrumentos de cuerdas, podía ejecutar con maestría más de 16 instrumentos. Todos los instrumentos de los sones del Tamunangue: el cuatro, el quinto, el medio cinco, el sexto, la Bandola (central, oriental y llanera), la guitarra acústica, la guitarra eléctrica, el requinto, la mandolina, el arpa, el bajo y el piano, ahora hay forma parte de la orquesta celestial. Mis hermanas, se inclinaron por el teatro y el canto, de mi parte en un principio; me dedique a la música y al canto con entera pasión.

Regularmente el alumno encuentra a su maestro quien va a enseñarle lo que le toca recibir", en mi caso disfrute de una gran ventaja, debido a que el sonido de la guitarra y otros instrumentos siempre me arrullaron allí donde estaba, debido al jolgorio musical familiar y sus amistades. Cuando me llegó el turno, el instrumento fue quien me escogió como su dueño. En ese momento una guitarra del famoso Luthier Alemán Hermann Hauser llego a las manos de un niño ávido de música y con gran talento; cambiándome así toda la perspectiva sonora al rasgar las cuerdas de la Guitarra. "Ese instrumento que cruzo el Océano Atlántico cambio mi vida y a partir de ese momento me uní con más entrega al estudio y sobre todo a la música, proseguí estudiando con mis hermanos. Todos fuimos autodidactas.

When my turn came, it was the instrument that chose me as its owner. At that moment, a guitar by the famous German Luthier Hermann Hauser reached the hands of a child who was avid of music and with great talent; thus changing my whole sound perspective when tearing the strings of the Guitar. That instrument that crossed the Atlantic Ocean changed my life and from that moment on I joined with more dedication to study and above all to music, I continued studying with my brothers. ¡Por supuesto! para la época ya el luthier Hermann Hauser I era toda una leyenda, uno de los guitarristas más famoso del siglo pasado; el maestro Andrés Segovia, usaba uno de sus instrumentos para tocar en grandes teatros, exigiendo al máximo la sonoridad de su instrumento. El fabricante alemán había sido una persona innovadora, modificando la estructura interna en sus guitarras hasta conseguir un nuevo sonido en sus instrumentos, atrayendo la atención del guitarrista español.

Cuando hice sonar las cuerdas de esa guitarra quede enamorado del sonido y me dedique a estudiar cada vez más, a practicar con mis familiares y amigos las expresiones culturales larenses, otros géneros musicales venezolanos y el Bolero fueron incluidos en el repertorio. A los 12 años, era considerado como buen guitarrista y músico acompañante. Pronto fue invitado a formar parte de distintos grupos musicales y a dar serenatas, iniciando así su carrera en el mundo musical.
When I played the strings of that guitar I fell in love with the sound and dedicated myself to studying more and more, to practicing with my family and friends the cultural expressions of Lara, other Venezuelan musical genres and the Bolero were included in the repertoire. At the age of 12, he was considered a good guitarist and accompanying musician. Soon he was invited to join different musical groups and to serenade, thus beginning his career in the musical world.

¿Alguna anécdota en particular que te haya marcado durante la etapa de músico?

Muchos fueron los momentos y eventos donde el dúo de guitarra y su intérprete, maravillamos a quienes escuchaban, hubo muchas serenatas y corazones arrobados, hasta el momento de la aparatosa separación. Cuando el ferrocarril donde viajaba sufrió un terrible accidente y una de las víctimas fue la Guitarra de Hauser. Esto me afecto durante varios años ya que no conseguía el reemplazo ideal y no me sentía conforme con los instrumentos.

Después de varios años en el ámbito musical y de emplear distintos instrumentos; Comprendí que la nueva forma de recuperar los sonidos de la Hauser, era aprendiendo a Construir mis propios Sonidos, fabricando instrumentos con un mejor nivel: por eso se dedique a recorrer distintos talleres en Lara y la geografía Venezolana, a conocer de este arte. "Aprendiendo lo que no se de hacer." Hoy a mis 68 años y después de superar los 800 instrumentos los cuales tienen la particularidad en estos últimos 10 años de tener su propia pieza musical como fe de bautismo, de las que soy su compositor, considero que he logrado hacer un aporte a la Luthería: Despertar el sonido de Hauser con Madera Criolla de origen 100% venezolano.
After several years in the musical field and using different instruments, I understood that the new way to recover the sounds of the Hauser, was learning to Build my own Sounds, making instruments with a better level: that's why I dedicated myself to tour different workshops in Lara and the Venezuelan geography, to know this art. "Learning what I don't know how to do." Today, at 68 years old and after having played more than 800 instruments, which have the particularity in the last 10 years of having their own piece of music as a baptismal faith, of which I am their composer, I consider that I have managed to make a contribution to the Lutherie: Awakening the sound of Hauser with 100% Venezuelan Creole Wood.
Me ha sucedido varias veces que instrumentos de fabricantes de renombre: como Ramirez, Fleta, Yacopi u otros han sido puestos al lado de mis mejores peroles y ellos no se sienten menos, puesto que son Guitarras fabricadas sin celo, ni temor sino con el sonido del Corazón.
It has happened to me several times that instruments of renowned manufacturers: like Ramirez, Fleta, Yacopi or others have been placed next to my best basins and they do not feel less, since they are Guitars made without zeal, nor fear but with the sound of the Heart.
En medio de este impulso por dar aporte a la cultura, el Maestro Anís nos regalo de forma improvisada un pequeño arreglo en Versión Guitarra Solista de la Pieza Venezuela, a manera de complemento del Post: "Fabricando Guitarras y Componiendo su música"
