A Beautiful Song For World Adoption Day
Yesterday was world adoption day and on this day I always have mixed emotions. I want to jump for joy because my family has been so wonderfully blessed with children through adoption. At the same time, my heart breaks for my kids who have to endure their loss - they didn't ask for adoption.
Usually, my family acknowledged the day by drawing smiley faces on our hands. This is the symbol used to represent world adoption day. Bu this year, with our new arrival snug and safe in our home, I just didn't feel like "celebrating" the day. I felt sad that there are so many questions that I do not have answers for and that the answers I do have - well, they are going to hurt hearing them.
But this morning I woke up to this beautiful song that was written specifically for world adoption day. While I do not have the answers to many questions - one thing I do know is that I love my children beyond measure and that I am here for them in every way.
