The Forever Story Just After The 5th Year.

The room was dark and gloomy, the mood felt very akwwrd, it has been for the past week or more, Alex has literally been able to drag the marriage this far for over this period of time, Ria his wife had been acting up and becoming unbearably annoying.

It is a long story to tell he had been thinking all day and here he was in the middle of the night again. Unable to sleep, having sex with his wife is the least of his worries now. Ria had told him before they got married that she wasn't sure if she could get past the first Five years of marriage to any man but if she does, it will surely be a life time thing.

Their fifth anniversary is just a matter of minutes away, it was about 11:43PM he had woken up to make sure he didn't sleeep into it as it had been their tradition over the past 4 anniversaries, they usually sit there and talk about how the past year had been for them both and the things they think they could do better. It was an amazing tale to tell his friends whenever he did but today he has something more serious in his hands.

He gradually touched Ria by the waist. She used to love that. It took a lot of courage for him to do that and to his greatest amusement she didn't move. He knew she was mad for whatever reasons but not to this extent he thought, he tried again.

And she left. This was the worst moment of Alex's life, he was sure of that. He couldn't move or sleep till it was morning and although he had taken a day off thinking it was business as usual or worst case, he will try to make her feel something, but since his attempt at night failed miserably he could not even look at her face as he prepared and left for work all in a haste. She seemed relaxed as though she was not going to work. But he dare not ask why he said to himself and left for work.

The day was long and boring, occupied with thought of getting his wife back and if all this meant she was finally leaving so as not to break her promise of staying past 5 years and risking for life. There was little to no work to be done as he had cleared his table the previous day hoping to be off and all works had been pushed to other people. He prayed silently that God should see him through the day unscratched.

And before long it was closing time and he was seriously scared of going home. Just then his phone rang.

It was Ria, he was scared and excited.

Maybe she has remembered today was their anniversary and what if she want to call it off?

His hands where shaking as he aswered the call.

Alex go to Freds house and pick up your car, I left it there.

And the phone went silent. Alex stopped his car and was lost. Ria had never called Him by his name since they got married and what was his car doing at freds? This was the last stroke that broke the proverbial camel back.

Ria had left him because there are only 2 cars in the house and one was hers, the one he bought for her. And now she has returned it to him because she said Your car on the phone.

Hurriedly he began to drive towards Freds but what was he going to do? He should have dropped his car off at home then take a cab down there but he just felt there was no time. Why Freds of all places? He was a mutual friend, a trusted one at that. Maybe she had to do it there so he will explain things to me better, why she is leaving him.

He was at the door, and to his surprise the car was parked outside the gate and he had to walk the longest walk of his life to Fred's door and everywhere was terribly dark and scary. He managed to located the door and knocked.

There was no reply when he turned and was about to go out the gate he saw the Janitor who told him that Oga is inside. When he went back to knock severally and there was no reply, the janitor smiled and told him madam is inside too. That infuriated him as he nearly knocked down the door but managed to use the knob. As he barged in.

Suddenly the lights came on and his Ria jumped into his arms and kissed him for what seemed like forever to them both as she said.
