Loyalty.
I have been writing about relationships and more so, marriage recently and everything i come across are pushed towards this purpose. You know when you are focused on a path, everything you see will always lead you to that course. That is exactly what i have been experiencing lately. Everything i read, see, they are just targeted towards relationship/marriage, or more so, i only see what i have been committed to writing in whatever i see around.
I saw a WhatsApp video and i hardly download them anyway, but i downloaded this one. After downloading it for a week plus, i got to watch it today hahaha.
The video is about a lecturer who got to class and told his students that he wanted to do something practical. He asked for a volunteer to be used for the example and a woman stood up. She came to the front and the lecturer gave her a marker and told her to write 30 names of those who mean so much to her. She wrote the names and included her husband, her son, her parents, her neighbours and colleagues.
The lecturer stepped forward and asked her to remove some names to reduce the numbers. She wasn't happy about it but cleaned the names of her colleague. The lecturer told her to reduce the name to 5 and reluctantly again, she cleaned the names of her neighbour. After that, he asked her to reduce the name to two. With shaky hands and silence evident all over the class, with sadness and tear soaked face, she cleaned the one name and then the name of her parents, leaving just her husband and her son.
With the lecturer looking all over the class, everyone dreading what the lecturer might say next and fear of what next the lady would do, the lecturer dropped the bombshell and asked her to clean out one name. She was hesitant. She couldn't at first. She cried, well, it means a lot to her and looked so real to her. She cleaned out one name, and it was the name of her son. With puzzled face, the lecturer asked why she cleaned out her parents who nurtured her from birth till date, and her son, whom she carried and raised till that age too, and left her husband? He further told her she could have gotten another husband but there are no replacements for her parents and even the trouble she went through for her son. The lecturer asked for the response to his statement and the whole class couldn't wait for what she has to say, with deafening silence erupting in the class...
