Heat conduction is one mode of energy transfer.The individual part of the medium do not move as a whole in the heat conduction.Heat conduction takes place in solids, liquids and gases due to temperature difference.When one end of iron rod is placed in fire, the other end becomes hot.This is bccause of heat conduction.
