Bitcoin Gold is a hard fork of BTC, which focuses on decentralized mining. The project started in October 2017. The Ethereum Classic is the successor to the original Ethereum blockchain since July 2016 after a controversial hard fork.

CoinMarketCap has seen a bitcoin trend in press time. Another bitcoin knockoff, Bitcoin SV (BSV), was trending on StockTwits. At press time, Ethereum Classic Stocktwits dominated the trending ticker charts.

ETC was one of the most mentioned currencies on Twitter at the time of the press. According to Cointrendz data it attracted 392 tweets. In 24 hours, ETC's trading volume rose 148.4% to $ 3.4 billion, while BTG's trading volume rose 856.7% to $ 170.07 million.
